Pest control

Today at school Janine from Landcare came into our class and talked to us about pests and what they do. The three main pests she talked to us about were stoats, possums and rats.

Some ways they tell were pests are is they put out chew pads that have peanut butter in them mainly for possums and rats you can tell between them possums strip it and rats bite it.

The way you tell ferrets, stoats and weasels different is ferrets are much bigger and stoats are bigger than weasels but also stoats always have a black tip on there tail.

She also brought in a stuffed possum it was really fluffy and had a really big tail and a stoat with a black tip on its tail and white tummy. Overall we learnt a lot and it was really interesting.
